The St. Louis region is mourning the tragic loss of three individuals following a fatal traffic collision that occurred on May 1 in North County. The victims have been identified as Jordyn “Lunar” Williams, a senior at Ritenour High School; Cherese Fisher, 53; and Andrea Medina, 28.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident involved multiple vehicles and began when a Cadillac, allegedly operated by 20-year-old Devin Daugherty, made contact with a Lexus driven by Fisher. The impact caused the Lexus to enter oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Toyota Highlander driven by Medina. The Lexus subsequently overturned, resulting in severe injuries to those involved.
All three victims were transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.
Jordyn Williams’ passing has been particularly impactful within the Ritenour High School community. Recently crowned prom queen, she was widely admired by her peers and educators. Her death has left classmates and faculty in deep mourning, with many remembering her as a vibrant and promising young individual.
Cherese Fisher and Andrea Medina are also being honored for the lives they lived and the connections they built. Their loss has resonated across the community, with tributes highlighting their character and the roles they played in the lives of others.
Following the crash, authorities reported that Daugherty left the scene. Law enforcement later located him at his residence after tracing the vehicle involved. He now faces three counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, as well as a charge of driving while revoked or suspended. He remains in custody under a $250,000 bond.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing as officials work to determine all contributing factors.
